Music Ministry at Holy Rosary
Paul G. Dolejsi, Pastoral Assistant for Music (pdolejsi@holyrosaryseattle.org )

Music ministers lead and support the singing of the assembly at mass. Opportunities are available to sing in our choirs, as well as to cantor at any of our masses.  Musicians are always very welcome to share their gifts on instruments such as piano, guitar, flute/woodwinds, violin or other strings, trumpet and brass, drums and percussion.  All are welcome!

5pm Saturday & 9:30 Sunday Adult Ensembles
Paul Dolejsi (pdolejsi@holyrosaryseattle.org )

Our music ensemble & choir leads the singing at the 9:30 AM Sunday morning and the 5:00 PM Saturday Vigil masses.  All of our music ministers strive to lead and support the voice of the assembly. Our choir sings SATB and includes a number of excellent cantors. Our music ensemble features piano, guitar, drums, bass guitar, flute and percussion. Our repertoire features music from many diverse cultures around the world, as well as the best of contemporary Catholic music and hymns. There are many opportunities for singers and instrumentalists at all of our parish masses.  A prayerful attitude, a joyful heart and a willingness to serve are all you need to participate in music ministry.

As Elaine Rendler, a prominent Catholic musician has stated so well: “Our mission in music ministry is to serve the people of God through the gift of music and thus to further the mission of Christ in the world.”  If the Spirit is calling you to share your musical gifts with your parish community, please contact Paul.

Children’s Sunday Choir
Paul Dolejsi (pdolejsi@holyrosaryseattle.org )

The Holy Rosary Children's Sunday Choir is comprised of about 30 students (grades 2-6) of Holy Rosary and other neighborhood schools. Their most common trait is that they love to sing! The choir sings at mass…not to perform, but to lead and support the singing of the assembly, the same as our adult choirs. In doing so, our children are learning to become music ministers--our future leaders of song and prayer! They also learn that their talents are gifts from God to be given back in service to the parish community. We practice on Tuesday afternoons in the church from 3:15 to 4:15. We sing at Sunday mass about once a month, including Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday. To participate, please contact Paul.

Youth Music Group
Paul Dolejsi (pdolejsi@holyrosaryseattle.org )

Holy Rosary & Our Lady of Guadalupe teens come together Sunday evenings at the 5:30 Youth Mass to sing, play and lead the music!  We've got piano, guitar, drums, bass guitar, flute, trumpet and clarinet.  Music is upbeat contemporary Christian with some familiar songs to make all feel welcome.

Practice is 4:15pm every Sunday before mass. Youth Mass begins at 5:30.
Junior & Senior High teens and “young-at-heart” adults are all invited.
Come sing, clap and dance before the Lord with us - we rock!

11:15am Choir
Bob Ingalls  (bingalls@holyrosaryseattle.org )

The 11:15 am choir is a group of singers from the parish that specializes in four-part choral literature spanning five centuries, from the Renaissance to the present day. This Holy Rosary Church choir is considered to be one of the finest Catholic Church choirs in all of western Washington. We currently have twenty singers, some of whom have been part of the choir for over thirty years.

Members of the traditional choir are ministers in every sense of the term. Our mission is to support the voice of the assembly at mass and to provide music to reinforce the messages contained in the readings and the Gospel. We rehearse from 7:15 -9:00 PM on Tuesday Evenings in the church sanctuary. On Sunday mornings we meet at 10:15 AM in the convent chapel to prepare for singing at the 11:15 mass.
