Youth
and Family Mass
The combined Holy Rosary/Our
Lady of Guadalupe Youth and Family Mass is Sunday evenings at
5:30pm.
Volunteers are needed! There are many different ways to get involved. We are looking for junior and senior high students who would be willing to serve mass, be a greeter, usher or lector. We are especially in need of all those teens who have been confirmed and are willing to be Eucharistic Ministers. It is a time commitment of one to three hours a month. Training will be provided for all the different ministries. Interested? Contact Patrick at 937-1488, ext. 212 or email: pbarredo@holyrosaryseattle.org .
Altar
Servers
Altar Servers actively participate in the Mass by helping during the liturgy. They are responsible for assisting the priests and Eucharistic ministers when they are at the altar. As Pope John Paul II proclaims: “Commitment to the altar is not only a duty but a great honor, a true holy service.”
Our youngest altar servers are in the 4th grade, but we also have quite a few who are adults! Daily Mass is another area of opportunity. We do a group training once a year and offer special training's as needed. If you are interested in participating, please contact Patrick Barredo at the Parish Office 206-937-1488 ext 212 or email at pbarredo@holyrosaryseattle.org . For scheduling, please contact Diane.
Eucharistic Ministers This special ministry invites parishioners to share the Body and the Blood of Christ with the entire church. Eucharistic ministers welcome parishioners to not just take the Body and Blood, but to become the Body and Blood by joining Christ in communion. This ministry is wonderful because God’s presence is truly alive! It also allows people to participate more fully in the Mass, and it does not involve extra time outside of Mass.
Anyone who is a confirmed Catholic may become a Eucharistic minister. It involves a one hour initial training session. Eucharistic Ministers are scheduled approximately one weekend Mass each month. Schedules are done on a quarterly basis and any special requests can be accommodated. We also have a group renewal retreat once a year. If you are interested in joining this ministry, please contact Diane.
