If you enjoyed attending C&D after Sunday Mass, we are excited to announce that Coffee and Donuts is back starting mid-May! The stronger our volunteer force is, the longer we can offer this parishioner favorite!
We encourage you to help keep the program alive by volunteering some of your own time. There will be some changes to our format: We have simplified our food and drink options, we are requesting that volunteers in the kitchen/food service area be adults only for now, and we ask that all volunteers wear a mask and gloves during the entirety of their service time. The most vulnerable among our community often join us at Coffee and Donuts so we will continue to provide the safest experience possible.
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP TO ATTEND?
No, C&D is open to everyone. No set limit on attendess. Please just show up after Mass!
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER?
Yes, we ask that volunteers please register using the sign up genius link. Choose your date/shift so that the volunteer leads can see what gaps need to be filled.
HOW MUCH TIME IS INVOLVED IF I VOLUNTEER?
There are 2 shifts: 8:15-10:30 and 10:30-12:45. Volunteers are welcome to choose one shift or both. Mass times are 8:30 and 10:30 so volunteers are able to attend Mass and still volunteer. Just want to pick up donuts from Safeway and drop off by 8:15 am? We welcome you to volunteer for that job, too! Volunteers do not need to commit to every single Sunday. Select the days that work best for you!
CAN THE WHOLE FAMILY VOLUNTEER?
We have found that adding small children to the kitchen area can be tricky. The temptation to taste the frosting and lick the forks is sometimes too great. With covid still very much active in our community, we ask families to limit their volunteering to adults only. Helpful young adults age 13 and over are welcome. We hope to have kids join us again in the fall.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO?
C&D is usually in the School Hall after both Sunday morning Masses. A volunteer lead will be present at both shifts. There is a simple yet helpful guide at the bottom of the online sign up genius page that you can read before you choose to sign up. The guide is also posted in the C&D cabinet.
The church provides all the supplies and food, and one of our Coffee and Donuts team members goes to Safeway every Sunday morning to pick up the donuts, make the coffee and show you how to do the set up.
I'M READY! HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Use the link below to access the site, sign up with your e-mail address and create a password (perhaps "coffee"?) and then choose the Sunday(s) where you want to help out. It is an easy system, and we already have some parish families signed up.
