Coffee and Donuts is a parish-favorite ministry that happens most Sundays in the School Hall, across the street from the church on 42nd Ave SW, after both the 8:30 am and 10:30 am masses. Due to holidays or conflicting events, there will be some Sundays that Coffee and Donuts is not scheduled. We strive to be inclusive of dietary needs and provide a gluten-free option each week.
We encourage you to help keep the program alive by volunteering some of your own time. There will be some changes to our format: We have simplified our food and drink options, we are requesting that volunteers in the kitchen/food service area be adults only for now, and we ask that all volunteers wear a mask and gloves during the entirety of their service time. The most vulnerable among our community often join us at Coffee and Donuts so we will continue to provide the safest experience possible.
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP TO ATTEND?
No, C&D is open to everyone. No set limit on attendees. Please just show up after Mass!
HOW MUCH TIME IS INVOLVED IF I VOLUNTEER?
There are 2 shifts: 8:15-10:30 and 10:30-12:45. Volunteers are welcome to choose one shift or both. Mass times are 8:30 and 10:30 so volunteers are able to attend Mass and still volunteer. Volunteers do not need to commit to every single Sunday. Select the Sunday that work best for you!
CAN THE WHOLE FAMILY VOLUNTEER?
Kids are asked to help outside of the kitchen- Setting up tables, tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc. are all ways in which kids can help out. Due to hot coffee, knives, and other kitchen hazards, kids are asked to please stay outside of the kitchen if they are volunteering with adults.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO?
C&D is usually in the School Hall after both Sunday morning Masses. A volunteer lead will be present at both shifts. The guide is also posted in the C&D cabinet.
The church provides all the supplies and food, and one of our Coffee and Donut leads will help show you how to help.
